Dia de Los Muertos Butterflies

Butterfly Release

Celebrating Dia de Los Muertos

Honoring those who have passed.

Dia de los Muertos is a Mexican holiday that celebrates the lives of those who have passed away. It is a time to remember and honor our loved ones who have left us.

This year, we invite you to create a butterfly in memory of your loved one who has passed. We will be doing a butterfly release on November 11th, 2023 at Library Park, located at 321 S Myrtle Ave, Monrovia, CA 91016.

I’m not especially fond of Halloween, but I do love Dia de los Muertos and the idea of honoring and remembering our loved ones who have gone before us.

The butterfly symbolizes the beauty, mystery, renewal, and hope for life. Monarchs naturally migrate in November, making them a gentle reminder during this Mexican holiday that the soul of your loved one is remembered and perhaps visiting you.

About Senior Solutions is creating simple paper butterflies and will add the name of anyone you would like to have remembered. Please reach out to us so we can create a butterfly in someone’s honor for you. Or come by to display your own butterfly creation. If you would like for us to create a butterfly in honor of your loved one, please fill out the form below.

We will have more information to come about releasing a variety of delicate, live butterflies in honor of all those you request for us to keep in memory.
